Patna, Mar 27: Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar is known for his composure and rarely responds to barbs thrown at him during debates in the state Assembly. However, on Monday, Nitish Kumar lost his cool over barbs thrown at him by Leader of Opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav. In the middle of Assembly proceedings, Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav indulged into a heated conversation over clashes in Aurangabad during Ram Navami procession. The argument began when the RJD leader started beating the government alleging inaction to control communal tension in Aurangabad. Tejashwi Yadav’s attack did upset the Chief Minister who then decided to put the record straight. Kumar said that Ram Navami had passed off peacefully in the state “with a few exceptions”. “Suno babu, you have a long career in politics, hence should be willing to learn,” Nitish Kumar reportedly told Tejashwi Yadav. The Chief Minister later addressed RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui, who sat next to Yadav, and said, “Why does anyone not teach him (Tejashwi) some basics?”

Tejashwi Yadav has taken the reins of his party in the absence of his father and party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. He has been cornering the Nitish government on a range of issues the Chief Minister dumped Lalu Yadav and the Congress last year and partnered with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form a new government.
