New Delhi, October 25: Ahead of Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat programme on All India Radio, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday mocked at the programme. Taking a dig at Narendra Modi, Nitish Kumar said the despite being a eloquent Prime Minister he didn’t utter a single word. Kumar questioned the silence of Modi on issues like Dadri lynching, Dalit killings in Haryana and soaring prices of pulses. “Modiji was always unmatched in theatrics, rhetoric & using unsubstantiated facts now tactical silence is his new weapon of choice,” Kumar tweeted.
In series of tweets, Nitish Kumar said that Narendra Modi never missed an opportunity to speak or tweet to gain attention but he maintained tactical silence on issues which are widely discussed in the country. “For someone who doesn’t miss an opportunity to talk or tweet by the minute on literally anything, it is baffling that Modi doesn’t speak a word on issues that exhort the collective conscience of the country or bother the common masses,” Kumar said. “He didn’t speak single word on gruesome killing of Dalit children in Haryana, mob lynching in Dadri or sky rocketing prices of dal (pulses),” he added.
Nitish Kumar said that Narendra Modi has forgotten his promise of giving special status to Bihar ever since he won general elections. He criticised Modi saying that he visited Bihar during elections only. “The people of Bihar get to listen only when he comes for election campaign,” said Kumar. Bihar will go for poll in the third phase on October 28. The results will be declared on November 9
