Samastipur/Patna, Oct 9: The ‘Mahagatbandhan’ candidate for Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, said on Friday that they removed the former chief minister of Bihar Jitin Ram Manjhi just because he went to Bhartiya Janata Party and sat on their feet. Kumar was speaking at a rally in Samastipur, he alleged that National Democratic Alliance is scared to declare their chief ministerial candidate.
Nitish Kumar said that the former chief minister and the Hindustan Awam Morcha leader Jitin Ram Manjhi was removed from the top post as he was went to BJP and sat on their feet. He also said that the party which can make a person can also break him. Kumar said, “Jo party banaati hai woh hataa bhi sakti hai. Humne Manjhi ko hataya kyunki woh BJP ki godd mein jaake baithe the.” Taking a jibe at the BJP, Kumar asked why the NDA is scared to declare their chief minister candidate and if possible, declare Jitin Ram Manjhi as their man for the battle. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in his Fridays’ rallies that Nistish has failed in its promise in delivering electricity, drinking water, employment opportunities, education and other amenities, Nitish Kumar tried to attract the voters by saying who they want to see as their chief minister — A Bihari or and outsider! He said, “Bihar ko Bihari chalaega ya bahari chalaega? Agar Bihari chalega to Bihari to aapke saamne khada hi hai.” He had also called for a debate with Narendra Modi on the political situations in Bihar. The first phase of elections are scheduled for October 12 in which 49 constituencies will go for polls.
