Aurangabad/Munger/Patna, Oct 8: Allegations and counter allegations are part of elections and the upcoming Bihar elections are no exception. Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Bihar a sick state, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar flayed Modi for his comment and termed Modi calling Bihar a sick state as unfortunate.
Nitish Kumar also seemed surprised at Modi’s comments on Lalu Prasad Yadav, calling him a devil. Nitish tweeted, “Pehle humare DNA ko gadbad bataya, fir Bihar ko bimaru aur Bihar ke longo ko durbhagyashaali. Ab mahagatbandhan aur laluji ke liye shaitaan shabd ka prayog. yeh modi ji ki mansikta, hatasha aur Bihar ke liye unki soch ko darshata hai (First he (Modi) said our DNA is wrong, then he said Bihar a sick state and the people of Bihar as unfortunate. Now the use of words like devil for Laluji and Mahagatbandhan. Earlier in the day, addressing a public meeting in Munger, Modi had said that during the entire tenure Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar, growth in Bihar has stopped. Modi chose not to ignore the Shaitaan (devil) remark made by Lalu against him. In a retaliatory attack, Modi said, “The Yadhuvansh (referring to Lalu) could identify a devil, as he frequently encounters them in his village, house and locality. Is he not insulting Bihar through his statements?” Lalu had termed Modi a devil while addressing a gathering of party workers on Tuesday. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was not spared from Modi’s rhetoric. As the mocky and verbal fight are getting even bitter day by day, more such are expected to come. The five-phase Bihar elections begin from October 12 and preparations are underway. The counting of votes and results will be declared on November 8.
