New Delhi, July 20: As Rahul Gandhi is expected to lead the Congress charge of the debate on the no-confidence motion against Narendra Modi-led government in the Lok Sabha on Friday,  several Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and supporters took a dig at the Congress president and joked that they were preparing for a ‘bhookamp (Earthquake)’. Referring to his (Rahul Gandhi) 2016 remark, that there would be an earthquake in parliament, if he were allowed to speak, BJP national secretary Ram Madhav tweeted, “13 minutes for the mover of the motion and 38 minutes for earthquake.” Also Read - Coronavirus: Total Positive Cases Climb to 1024, Death Toll Reaches 27, State Borders Sealed | Top Points



Actor-turned-politician Paresh Rawal also took a jibe at the Congress president saying,”Agar aaj Rahul ji bina padhe, bina fumble kare, bina ghalti kare 15 minute bolenge toh dharti zaroor hilegi, hilegi bhi kya, naachegi (If Rahul ji will speak for 15 minutes without any mistake then the earth will definitely shake.”



Earlier in the day, BJP leader Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga had  said, “Heard Rahul Gandhi is planning to boycott Parliament before his Earthquake speech. Anurag Thakur Ji taaala lgwa do aaj Gate par, Rahul ji ki bhookamp speech sunne bina jaane na dena.”

Using the hashtag #BhookampAaneWalaHai, Bagga posted a picture with a caption ,”Scientists are ready.”

Amit Malviya, BJP’s IT Cell in-charge started a survey on the micro-blogging site and asked netizens ,”If there will be an earthquake every 15 minutes, then how many times will there be an earthquake in 38 minutes?”
