New Delhi, February 21: Following the agitation by Jat community and the chaos in Haryana, the people in national will have to bear the pain of shortage of water. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal hasd announced that all the stock of water will be over by Sunday and there will be no water left for Monday. He had also ordered all the schools to remain closed for Monday, until problem is solved.
The national capital which gets is major share of water from Munak canal is suffering from a huge crunch of water supply due to the ongoing riot like situation in Haryana. It had already announced that there would no water supply in national capital and barring a few, including President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minster Narendra Modi, CJI, defence installations, hospitals and fire brigades, water to be equally rationed amongst all the citizens of Delhi. Speaking to the media, Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra said, “We are left with no water now. This morning’s supply was the last one. Barring President, Prime Minister, CJI, defence installations, hospitals and fire brigades; water will be equally rationed amongst all the citizens of the Delhi. We have also postponed all the exams scheduled for tomorrow.” Even Kejriwal appealed to the people to use water carefully. His minister Satender Jain too appealed the people in the same way.
