Faridabad, April 27: The body of an NRI woman was found in a bathtub of a Faridabad hotel on Friday. The woman had checked into Vivanta by Taj past Sunday, April 22. Her family lives in South Extension area while the woman was said to be married to a London-based businessman. She had been living separately from her husband for a long time. When she checked into the hotel, she told the staff not to disturb her. She also asked that no calls be forwarded to her room. The body has been sent for postmortem.  Investigations are underway. Police found the body after the woman did not take her family’s calls for a day. Though they found out that hotel staff had been instructed by the deceased, who was in her 40s, not to forward any calls to her. The cause of death is yet not known. Recently, an NRI was looted when four men claiming to be his brothers decamped with the contents of his bank locker in Surat, Gujarat. The goods were worth about Rs 12 lakh but the bank manager was deceived because the con men were carrying the “will” and the “death certificate” of the NRI. Police said the victim had last operated his locker in 2007. Before returning to the US, the NRI filed his complaint on the basis of which, police arrested the bank manager and one of the impostors.
