Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: In a tragic incident, two persons including a newly-wed groom were killed after a wedding gift received by a couple exploded. The blast took place at Patnagarh in Odisha’s Bolangir district. The groom and his grandmother succumbed to injuries. The bride also received injuries in the explosion. According to family members of the victims, the couple received the bomb as a wedding gift during their marriage on February 18. The blast took place when they opened it at their house. Someone might have kept the explosives in the gift packet triggering the explosion, family members told Odisha-based television channel.
