Ahmedabad: Preparations for the much awaited visit of US President Donald Trump is in full swing in Ahmedabad and extra precaution is being taken to ensure that everything is in order. After a wall that is being built in the city to keep a slum cluster out of sight of the US president, now health department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has sealed three paan shops at the airport circle. This is being done so that the all roads and walls around the airport remain absolutely clean and spotless. After sealing the shops, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation said that if the shopkeeper tries to remove the seal, legal actions will be taken against them.
An AMC official of the north zone told The Times Of India that the customers used to throw cigarette butts and spit pan-masala everywhere, so it was difficult to keep the area clean if the shops were allowed to run.
“We have decided to seal the shops till further order,” said an AMC official.
Well, there’s more! Even the street dogs are getting caged by the concerned authorities, according to sources.
US President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Gujarat on February 24. He will visit the famous Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad and take part in a roadshow with Modi.
After that, the two leaders will inaugurate a new cricket stadium in Motera and address a gathering there, with an expected audience of over a lakh people.
