New Delhi, Jan 27: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday saw the controversial movie ‘Padmaavat’ along with some Rajput leaders and found that there was nothing objectionable in it. Sisodia, who himself is a Rajput said that those opposing Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh starrer film earlier were also disappointent with themselves after watching ‘Padmaavat’. Earlier Sisodia had slammed protesters and asserted that they defamed the Rajput community with their violent actions. He had said that being the education minister of Delhi, it was his responsibility to ensure that parents were assured of their wards’ safety. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus has been embroiled into controversy since its inception. Various Hindu and Rajput fringe outfits have raised objections over the epic drama alleging that Bhansali has distorted the history.
The fringe groups including Karni Sena has gone on a rampage and vandalized cinema halls of various states for screening the movie.
