Bhopal, Aug 10: In a joint operation, the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Punjab Police busted a terror module by arresting three men from Gwalior and Dabra area on Thursday. The arrested men allegedly have direct links with Pakistani spy agency ISI-backed banned terror outfit, International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF). The cops raided the hideouts of terror suspects following specific intelligence inputs about their location.

Those arrested have been identified as Balvinder Gill, Balkar Singh and Sathyendra Rawat. The arrests were made after sleuths of ATS and Punjab Police officers raided their hideouts in Dabra, Chinor and Dulpura area of Gwalior. The cops came to know about the location of these three terror suspects from three others, who were arrested by the Punjab police in June. Punjab police arrested three men — Gurdial Singh, Jagroop Singh and Satwinder Singh — and claimed that they had been trained and tasked by the ISI to carry out terror attacks.

The terror suspects, during the interrogation, revealed how they were trained to carry out terror attacks and target ‘anti-Sikh forces’ by Lahore-based ISYF chief Lakhbir Rode, and KLF terror operative Harmeet Singh alias Happy alias PHD, reported Times of India. They had were trained to use AK-47 and other weapons in Lahore in 2016.

An investigation was launched in May after Border Security Force (BSF) had intercepted a consignment of arms and ammunition from near the International Border in Amritsar. After preliminary probe, it was found that the huge cache of arms was supplied by the ISYF. Two terrorists, Maan Singh and Sher Singh, who came to pick weapons, were arrested by the BSF. Since then, the entire module was under surveillance.
