Paris terror strikes: Azam Khan relates attacks to US actions in Syria and Iraq

Lucknow, November 16: In yet another controversy, Samajwadi leader Azam Khan said that the recent Paris attacks which claimed lives of more than 129 and left 380 wounded is a reaction to US actions in Syria and Iraq. UP Minister condemned the terror attack as unfortunate and reportedly said that “European countries can’t be lit up with the ill-gotten wealth from the oil reserves of Middle East”.

Azam Khan, had recently sparked controversy after stating that the “rape is increasing in the country due to mobile phones”.

Khan was quoted in Times of India, where he said that, Paris is light up with the money earned through illegal occupation of oil reserves in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Iran. Due to US bombings thousands have gone homeless how can it be justified? asks Khan.

Khan, blamed US and Russia for precipitating crisis in Middle East through their foreign policies. “The reason is simple they want to acquire oil reserves,” said Khan.

The Friday attack in which 129 people were killed took place at six different spots in Paris. Six out of seven attackers blew themselves up and one was shot by the police. After the incident France had declared national emergency across the country.

French President Francois Hollande on Saturday evening said that the Islamic State militant were behind the attack and termed it as an ‘act of war’.
