Parmila Tokas AAP candidate from R K Puram  leads by 9314 votes against his nearest rival Anil Kumar Sharma of Bharatiya Janata Party, while Lila Dhar Bhatt of Congress is struggling at position three. AAP gave BJP a taste of its own medicine in the Delhi Assembly elections and was set to return to power with a record victory. It was a complete sweep by AAP and none could survive the sweep. BJP which the exit polls projected was to get anything between 20-30 seats suffered a huge set back. Congress was the worst affected party and its candidates just failed to connect with the voters. The party chief ministerial candidate Ajay Maken was trailing and the party failed to register its presence in any of the constituency in the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections.
