Verma, a former 2-time Lok Sabha MP from the West Delhi constituency, secured a total of 30,088 votes, against Kejriwal’s tally of 25,999 votes, defeating the AAP chief by a margin 4,089 votes, according to updated results shared by the Election Commission. Although the Delhi Assembly elections have no direct connection to Madhya Pradesh, the victory of BJP candidate Parvesh Verma from the New Delhi seat has created an atmosphere of excitement in the city of Dhar.

BJP MLA from Dhar, Neena Verma, is the mother-in-law of Parvesh Verma. In 2022, Verma married Neena Verma’s eldest daughter, Rinku aka Swati. Soon after Verma registered an incredible victory from the ‘New Delhi’ seat, BJP workers gathered at Neena Verma’s residence to celebrate.
