New Delhi: Over 100 passengers on a Kathmandu-bound SpiceJet flight were forced to deboard the SpiceJet plane on Thursday morning after the aircraft developed a technical snag. As per news agency ANI, citing its video journalist who was onboard, SpiceJet flight number SG41 was delayed for more than an hour. The commercial plane was taxied on the runway without any proper communication with the crew. The air conditioning of the flight was also not working for over an hour, leading to inconvenience to flyers. The flight was scheduled to depart at 8:10 am.
After more than an hour of wait, the SpiceJet plane was brought back to the parking bay, where the crew of the plane announced, “technical issue”. Passengers were asked to deboard the plane, ANI reported.
As per the airline, the commercial aircraft experienced a technical issue that caused the delay, adding that it is trying to resolve the issue. Further details on the incident are awaited.

At least 31 protesters died and several others suffered injuries in clashes with police. Capital Kathmandu and surrounding towns are witnessing massive agitations by youths against the government’s corruption and social media ban.
On Monday, 19 protesters lost their lives and approximately 500 were injured in confrontations near the Federal Parliament and other locations in Kathmandu, according to The Himalayan Times. The government rescinded the ban late last night following the violent clashes, but only a few hours later, protesters convened in Kathmandu to continue their demonstration, accusing the government of corruption.
