Ahemadabad, August 27: For the second consecutive day today, mobile internet services will be unavailable in the state of Gujarat today, due to the continuing agitation by the Patel community, which is lead by Hardik Patel. The ban which is applicable in some parts of the state, on all the users of mobile internet seeks to cripple the movement since the community supporters had been using Whatsapp extensively to garner support for the movement.
The ban was introduced on Wednesday, following widespread violence during the rallies staged by the community, and the imposition of curfew in many cities and towns. The DC also announced the schools and colleges will remain closed till Monday, in light of the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
