New Delhi, Jan 11: Pakistan has reportedly rejected the evidence provided by India related to Pathankot terror attack. According to sources, Islamabad denies the credibility of the proofs sent by New Delhi. Most of the information related to the alleged Jaish-e-Muhammad militants has been considered as null and void.
Islamabad has prepared a report of the preliminary investigation it has conducted in the matter. According to sources linked to India Today, phone numbers given by India allegedly belonging to assassinated fidayeens and the terror lords they spoke to in Pakistan have been declared as unregistered by the investigators in Pakistan. However, National Investigation Agency probing the attacks in India had traced the phone numbers to Pakistan. The denial of proofs by Pakistan comes as a huge setback, after the assurance given by Nawaz Sharif of a fair probe in the matter.
The stand taken by Pakistan is reminiscent of the position it stood in the aftermath of 26/11 Mumbai attacks, when it gradually declined each and every proof submitted by India.
Meanwhile, New Delhi has despatched a black corner notice through Interpol.
The Times of India published two phone numbers, +92-3017775253 and +92 300097212, to which calls were made by the preprators of Pathankot Airbase attack after they entered India. Both these numbers belong to Pakistan. However, based upon their preliminary investigations, Islamabad claims that both the number are not registered in Pakistan.
