New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with ‘karyakartas’ through the NaMo App and called out to people for making Kashi, a clean and healthy city. Talking about how Kashi was developing at a fast pace, PM Modi said that he could already see the changes. He further announced that ‘Swachhta hi seva’ campaign will be launched in Kashi from September 15 and will continue till October 2- that is until Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday. PM Modi said that preparations to make Kashi a clean and healthy city was much required. He also spoke on the topic of health care and said that it is one subject that should be flawless in all its aspects. He said that it is a matter of pride that a number of doctors today are providing free treatment to pregnant women. PM Modi said, “Our focus is on preventive healthcare. This helps the poor and middle-class people the most. He also announced the opening of a health wellness centre in Varanasi.  In the days to come, BHU will be among the world-class hospitals, which will provide the latest facilities for treatment, he said. He added that health care is very important for the country and that it should be affordable.



PM Modi also touched upon the subject of how videos are going viral and mobile phones are being misused. He asked the people to rally against such kind of videos and news.

During his interaction with Varanasi karyakartas, an ex-serviceman thanked PM Modi for OROP. Modi in return asked him to tell his colleagues through social media and other ways, about the work the government has done for the ex-servicemen.
