PM Modi Varansi Speech Today Live Updates and Latest News: A day after announcing 21-day lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an interactive session on coronavirus with the people of his constituency Varanasi today at 5 PM through video conferencing.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi had on Tuesday said that he will interact with the people of his constituency on the situation arising out of coronavirus.
“I will interact with the people of my constituency of Varanasi on the situation arising out of coronavirus. You can join this conversation through video conferencing at 5 PM on March 25. If you have any suggestion or question, can share it by going to the comment section of the NaMo app,” he had said.

The development comes as PM Modi has been holding interactive sessions with various stakeholders on finding ways to deal with the COVID-19.
In his second address to the nation on coronavirus, PM Modi had on Tuesday announced a complete nationwide lockdown for 21 days. He also asserted that unless India’s 130 crore people practice social distancing, the country will lose the war against coronavirus outbreak and slide back 21 years. He asked not to cross the ‘lakshman rekha’ of their homes in the next three weeks.

“If the situation is not handled in these 21 days, the country and your family could go back by 21 years. If situation is not handled in these 21 days, several families will get devastated forever,” he had said.
“My fellow citizens, there is absolutely no need to panic. Essential commodities, medicines etc. would be available. Centre and various state governments will work in close coordination to ensure this,” he had said in a tweet after his address.
Later, the MHA had issued a detailed guidelines about the restrictions, along with certain exemptions.
“To save India, to save every Indian, there will be a complete ban on people from stepping outside their houses from 12 midnight today,” he said.
