Patna, Nov 1: Amid the ongoing fourth phase of election in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his electoral campaigning for the fifth and final round of the poll by addressing a well-attended rally in Madhubani. Launching an all-out attack against the leadership of Mahagathbandhan, Modi demanded them to show accountability for the failure of Bihar.
“Congress has ruled for 35 years here. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar have ruled for 25 years combined. They are responsible for the lack of development in Bihar,” said Modi, who is the face of National Democratic Alliance led by BJP. Questioning the governance model of reigning chief minister Nitish Kumar, Modi said, “Some women from Karpuri village sent me a memorandum. Nobody is ready to listen to these people in Bihar Government, they had to come to Prime Minister. They were removed from their houses. What kind of governance is this?”
“But I am also saddened of the fact that the women who sent me this memorandum were not taught how to sign, they had to thumb print the memorandum. What kind of development is this where no one pays heed to educate the women population?”
“Lalu ji, Nitish ji; aapne 25 saal sarkaar chalaayi, Bihar ki matao behno ko aapne ye diya. Ye dastavez hai aapki vifalta ka (Lalu-Nitish have ruled for a combination of 25 years. But this is all they could give back to the mothers and sisters of the state. This memorandum is the proof of your failure),” Modi added.
Terming a new slogan for Bihar, Modi said, “Bihar stands for . I promise you that on November 8, NDA-led by BJP will form the government. Brilliant, Innovative, hardworking, action oriented, resourceful. This is the power of Bihar”
