New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the opposition saying the proposed ‘Mahagathbandhan’ has a corrupt intent, no leader and no policy. Briefing the media after the two-day BJP National executive meeting, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said PM Modi used three words to describe the Mahagathbandhan — netritva ka pata nahi, neeti aspashth, neeyat brasht.
Further attacking the opposition, PM Modi said that those who could not stand each other have now been forced to embrace against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This is the BJP’s achievement, Ravi Shankar Prasad quoted Narendra Modi as saying. PM Modi also said that even smaller parties are siding with the Congress party only to oppose us. “There are people within the party who don’t believe in the party leadership,” he claimed.
“The Opposition doesn’t fight over work and issues, they fight on lies. We’ll counter their falsehood, misrepresentation through the great work we have done in 4 years,” PM Modi said, adding, in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the BJP’s performance in the last 48 months will be judged against the Congress party’s performance in 48 years of their rule.
The Union Minister said, “Party President Amit Shah also said that we will win 2019 polls and after 2019 polls victory, nobody will be able to remove us for next 50 years. We are not saying this out of pride but on basis of our work.”
Earlier in the day, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar had hit out the opposition parties for their efforts to form a grand alliance and said that their single point agenda was to stop Modi and in that effort they were doing negative politics. “The opposition parties are dreaming to gain the power. They have no leader, no policy, no strategy and no vision. They are frustrated and that is why they are doing negative politics. But we have a leader who has a vision, passion and imagination,” Javadekar said.
