New Delhi, Feb 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday sounded the poll bugle in Karnataka inaugurating a series of railway projects in Mysuru. PM Modi commissioned the 140-km fully-electrified Bengaluru-Mysuru rail tracks and flagged off the Humsafar Express train from Mysuru to Udaipur in Rajasthan.
Speaking at a public gathering later, PM Modi targeted CM Siddaramaiah-led Congress government and said that the ruling party only cares for power and not aspirations of the people of the state.
Accusing the Siddaramaiah government of massive corruption, PM Modi urged voters of Karnataka to pick the BJP in the upcoming Assembly polls for all round development of the state. “What do you need? A government of commission or a government of mission? A government which asks for 10% commission to work or a government which works with the mission for development?” PM Modi asked.
Earlier, the Prime Minister visited Shravanabelagola for the Bahubali Mahamasthakabhisheka Mahotsava 2018. He inaugurated the new steps carved at Vindhyagiri Hill by ASI. He also inaugurated the Bahubali General Hospital.
Addressing the gathering at Shravanabelagola, the Prime Minister said saints and seers from our land have always served society and made a positive difference. The strength of our society is that we have always changed with the times and adapted well to new contexts, the Prime Minister said. It is our duty to provide good quality and affordable healthcare to the poor, he added.
