Dehradun, Oct 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted all infantrymen on Infantry Day. He is on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand and visited Mussoorie on Thursday to address IAS probationers. PM Modi said the nation is proud of the infantry’s exceptional courage and dedicated service to the nation. In a series of tweets he conveyed the greetings and said, “I bow to all infantry martyrs, who devoted their lives to the nation. The Prime Minister on Thursday interacted with over 360 officer trainees of 92nd Foundation Course at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). He advised the future administrators to study and research governance issues in depth, so that they could understand them well.

He also interacted with faculty members of the Academy, who gave him an overview of the work being done there, to train India’s civil servants.

Modi, who is on two-day visit to LBSNAA also paid floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Lal Bahadur Shastri at its premises on Thursday. He was also scheduled to participate in a tree plantation drive. PM Modi will practice yoga with the IAS probationers and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya on Friday.

He also visited the state-of-the-art Gandhi Smriti Library at LBSNAA and attended a cultural programme by the Officer Trainees.
