New Delhi, May 12: Posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a tagline ‘The Lie Lama’ were pasted on a wall at J block in Mandir Marg area of Lutyens’ Delhi’s. Taking notice of the complaint, the Delhi police have registered a case of defacement of property. Some unidentified miscreants had pasted the posters in some areas of Model Town and Moti Bagh as well. The police later removed the posters. According to reports, the posters showed the Prime Minister Modi’s face with “The Lie Lama” written in red over them. BJP leaders said that these posters were also mocking the spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Similar posters were also found pasted in central Delhi’s Patel Nagar and Shanker Road areas. A media report quoted police officers saying that three posters pasted in Mandir Marg area were seized after the complaint and have been sent for analysis. The posters do not name any person or organisation. CCTV cameras are being scanned to identify the miscreants.

Some days back similar incident was reported in which poster reading ‘Maharana Pratap Road’ was found pasted over the signboard of Delhi’s iconic Akbar Road. It is to be noted that Akbar Road is the address of several Union ministers and MPs, including BJP chief Amit Shah.
