Priyanka Chopra showed off her pipes in a video duet with Hollywood actress Jodie Foster (“Taxi Driver”), shot for W Magazine, which has since gone viral.

Both actresses chose to sing “Toxic” by Britney Spears and were given the lyrics on a piece of paper. With no background music or costumes, the leading ladies put their own spin on the song—by dramatically approaches the lyrics of the classic Top 40 hit.

The video is part of W Magazine’s “lyrical improv” series, directed by famed celebrity journalist Lynn Hirschberg. Similar videos have been done by the magazine with stars performing their favorite Prince songs and dramatically reading Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”

Foster, dressed down in a white and blue plaid shirt, went with a serious, spoken-word version, staring stone-faced at the camera and stating, “You’re toxic, I’m slipping under with the taste of a poison paradise.”

Chopra, wearing a glamorous  and sparkly silver dress, answered with a much livelier interpretation. Channeling the princess of pop, Chopra sang, “I’m addicted to you! Don’t you know that you’re toxic?”

Though the performance is all in light-hearted fun, Chopra still managed to showcase her singing chops, reminding fans that in addition to being a film and TV actress, she also has a career as a pop star—lest we forget her 2013 hit song “Exotic,” featuring Pitbull, or “In My City,” featuring will.i.am.

The duo was able to keep in character for most of the video, but by the end, both actresses (and from the sounds of it, the crew) descended into fits of giggles.

While many online fans praised Chopra for her voice, some users weren’t as into it, saying that she “needs to stop trying so hard.” But Chopra only cared about one person’s opinion on her performance.

“I hope we make Britney Spears proud,” Chopra, with a link to the video. Since the Chopra-Foster “Toxic” duet was posted on August 22, it has received more than 85,000 views.
