Pulwama, Mar 9: A 15-year-old civilian died in the clashes between the civilians and the forces at the Pulwama encounter site. Early Thursday morning, two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were gunned down in an encounter in Padgampora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The two have been identified as LeT’s Jahangir Ahmad Ganaie and Mohd Shafi Shergujari.
While the encounter is was underway, the locals started pelting stones at the forces deployed at the encounter site. Few more terrorist could be holed up in a house. As per the reports, train services have also been stopped from Banihal to Srinagar as the train station is near to the encounter site. “Troops of 130 Bn CRPF, 55 RR and SOG Pulwama involved in the operation,” said CRPF, reported ANI.
On late Wednesday night, Jammu and Kashmir troops launched an anti-terror operation after receiving a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the area. As per the reports, about four to five terrorists were suspected to be hiding in a house in Pulwama. “Unconfirmed presence of 4-5 terrorists, operation on,” stated CRPF on Pulwama (Padgampora, J&K) encounter. This is the second major encounter in the area in last four days in Pulwama.
