Pune: A fire broke out at a garage of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation on Wednesday. At least two fire tenders and water tankers are present at the spot to take stock of the situation.
The cause of the fire at the garage of the Corporation’s Shivneri luxury buses is not known yet.
Last month, a major fire broke out at an oil factory in Raigad district of Maharashtra. At least 12 fire tenders carried out the firefighting operations. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is believed to be short-circuited.
The incident had come a few days after a massive fire on Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road in Mumbai. Reportedly, a blaze engulfed a crane but no injury or casualty was reported in the fire. A similar incident earlier broke out at a plastic factory in Kandivali in north Mumbai. The reason behind that incident was believed to be a short-circuit.
A fire broke out at a container yard in Uran Taluka in Maharashtra’s Raigad in February again. At least 10 fire tenders were on the spot to contain the blaze. No casualties or injuries have been reported.
