New Delhi, Aug 13: Pune is top among the most liveable cities in India while the national capital, New Delhi has been ranked 65. As per the Ease of Living Index, released by the Ministry of Housing and Urband Affairs, Rampur in Uttar Pradesh is at the bottom of the list.

In total, four cities of Maharashtra – Pune, Greater Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane – have featured in the list of top 10 cities. Meanwhile, the cities of Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Karnataka did not find a place amongst the top 10.

List of Top 10 Cities in Ease of Living Index:

1- Pune
2- Navi Mumbai
3- Greater Mumbai
4- Tirupati
5- Chandigarh
6- Thane
7- Raipur
8- Indore
9- Vijaywada
10- Bhopal

The Ease of Living Index launched by Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Monday. He said the Ease of Living Index has been based on four parameters — governance, social institutions, economic and physical infrastructure. Adding further, he informed that Kolkata refused to participate in the survey.
