New Delhi: A brother-and-sister duo from India’s Punjab came under the radar after their cousin accused them of marrying each other in order to obtain Australian visas. Currently, both of them are living in Australia.
Further, the siblings have been accused of forging their identity documents to obtain Australian visas.
Police are investigating the case further.
“According to our investigation, we have come to know so far that the brother was already a permanent resident of Australia and documents were forged to give his sister the identity of their cousin and they first got a marriage certificate from a gurdwara and it was registered in the sub-registrar’s office,” a cop from Bathinda told SBS.
