Purulia: Another BJP Worker Found Hanging From Pole, Probe Handed Over to CID

New Delhi, June 2: In yet another shocking incident, a 32-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker was found hanging from a pole in Dabha village of Purulia’s Balarampur. The party has alleged Trinamool Congress’ (TMC) hand behind the incident. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, BJP posted a video and claimed that TMC has killed Dulal Kumar to make Purulia district BJP free.

Crime Investigation Department (CID) is probing the case. “The investigation of the incident where a BJP worker was killed, handed over to Crime Investigation Department,” ANI quoted West Bengal police’ statement.

Notably, this is the second BJP worker, who was found dead hanging in Purulia. A week ago,a young BJP activist Trilochon Mahato was found hanging from a tree. Following the incident BJP chief Amit Shah  blamed Mamata Banerjee-led state government for inaction. However, TMC has rubbished all allegations calling it baseless. Senior BJP leader Rahul Sinha has asked for CBI probe into these deaths.

While addressing a rally held in North 24 Parganas district’s Habra West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh said,”The manner in which the TMC is trying to make the state opposition-free by killing people is going to be dangerous. What kind of politics is this? What type of administration is this?” The rally was to protest the killing of Trilochan Mahato in Balarampur in Purulia district on May 30.
