Amethi: “Fun has just begun,” said Congress president Rahul Gandhi, as he addressed social media volunteers in Amethi. He said more would come out in the next couple of months as the Congress would expose all the “misdeeds” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government. While interacting with the social media volunteers late on Monday evening, the Gandhi scion continued to attack PM Modi, saying, “The man who had come to power promising a fight against corruption, he himself gave Rs 30,000 crore to Anil Ambani. This is just the beginning, there will be more fun ahead.” (Also read: After Calling PM Modi ‘Thief’, Rahul Calls him Commander-n-thief)

“Ye jo bhrashtachaar ke khilaf ladne aaya tha, isi ne Anil Ambani ko 30,000 crore rupaye pakda diye. Abhi toh shuruwat hui hai, abhi dekhna, maza aayega, aane wale 2-3 mahine mein aisa maza dikhayenge hum aapko. Narendra Modi ke jo kaam hain- Rafale, Lalit Modi, Vijay Mallya, notebandhi, Gabar Singh Tax, in sab mein chori hai. Ek-ek kar hum dikha denge ki yeh Narendra Modi ji chowkidaar nahi hain, chorr hain (The man (Prime Minister Modi), who came to remove corruption has himself given Rs 30,000 crore to Anil Ambani. The fun has just begun, things are set to turn more interesting. In the next 2-3 months you will have fun after we will show you Narendra Modi’s work – Rafale, Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi, Demonetisation, Gabbar Singh Tax. All of it is theft. One by one, we will show that Narendra Modi ji is not a guard, but a burglar),” Rahul said, as quoted by ANI.

The interaction was held at the Forest Department guest house in Amethi and was closed to the media. However, a video of Rahul’s jibe at PM Modi was recorded by some attendees and was shared with local reporters, reported Zee. Rahul’s promise to watch out for more to come in the near future suggests that his party would try its best to corner PM Modi over major schemes and absconding businessmen.

During the meeting, Rahul also discussed how the social media volunteers of the Congress could communicate with the people the policies of the party and the weaknesses of the BJP governments at Centre and in Uttar Pradesh. He said that his slogan of “PM Modi not a chowkidar, but a thief” must be taken to people on the ground as well as social media.
