This is what the Congress tweeted (From party's Twitter handle)
New Delhi: Call it a good-natured banter or trolling but the BJP and the Congress are at it again. It began with the Congress putting up a photo collage of party President Rahul Gandhi from his two-day Germany trip, captioning it ‘The many facets of Rahul Gandhi.’ The photos showed Gandhi turning his head this way and that, literally showing his many ‘facets’. No sooner than the Congress posted it, the BJP retweeted the photos, adding a caption with a wink that showed how serious it was about its intent.
The saffron party added with its retweet, “Even we couldn’t resist retweeting this ;).” The BJP seems to have learnt well from Gandhi’s hug-and-wink act during the no-confidence motion in Parliament. Here’s its tweet:
Meanwhile, the BJP has openly criticised Gandhi for his speech in Germany on Wednesday. The Congress president had claimed that incidents of lynching in India were rampant due to the frustration of those rendered jobless post-demonetisation as also because of the “poorly implemented” GST. In his address in Hamburg, he traced the creation of ISIS to warn against a similar situation at home if people were excluded from the development process. “It is very dangerous in the 21st century to exclude people. If you don’t give people a vision in the 21st century somebody else will give them one.
Asserting that the transformation taking place in the world requires certain protection for people, he said, “They (the BJP government) feel that tribal communities, poor farmers, lower caste people, minorities shouldn’t get the same benefits as the elite.” Gandhi also claimed that the other thing the BJP had done was that they had started attacking the support structures created to help certain groups of people.
