Even though the Congress leader didn’t name any BJP leader while making the reference but apparently referred to MJ Akbar who is under the scanner for allegations of sexual harassment levelled against him by a number of women journalists. On Tuesday, another journalist came forward alleging Akbar of sexual misconduct during his days as a journalist.
Akbar, a former journalist, has rejected the allegations against him and has filed a defamation case against one of the complainant journalists. Gandhi, in his address, went on to attack Modi over various other issues. It should be noted that this is the first time in the last few weeks that Rahul Gandhi has attacked the Centre over the allegations against MJ Akbar.
