Lucknow: The Meteorological Centre has predicted thundershowers accompanied with hail for Wednesday (February 9) during the next three hours (valid up to 18:05 hours IST) at some places in Bijnor, Barabanki, Bahraich, Gonda districts and adjoining areas. Meanwhile, parts of the National Capital Region received light showers on Wednesday morning. A Meteorological Department official said that Delhi received rainfall of 0.8 mm at around 7 AM.

The minimum temperature in Delhi on Wednesday was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius, three notches above average for the season. A Meteorological official said that the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 24 degrees Celsius. As per forecast for the day, thundershowers along with hail are expected during the day. The relative humidity was 100 per cent at 8.30 AM in Delhi. The minimum temperature in Delhi was 9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday while the maximum was 25 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Centre tweeted a weather and warning forecast on its official Twitter handle on Wednesday.

It must be noted that Uttarakhand has received the highest snowfall this year in five years while Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a 77 per cent rise in rainfall this winter. The Met department in Shimla has issued a warning for heavy snow and rainfall in the state on Wednesday and Friday. It also added that Chamba, Kullu, Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti are likely to receive heavy snowfall on February 6, followed by rainfall and hailstorm on February 7.
