Jaipur, July 27: Ahead of the state elections, there was a major reshuffle of bureaucrats in Rajasthan yet again. At least four Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 34 Indian Police Service (IPS) and 93 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) were transferred last night.
On a related note, the transfer of these officers were cancelled. IAS Bhavani Singh Deatha and Vikas Sitaramji Bhale, RAS Hiralal Verma, Hanumant Singh and Omprakash Sharma were cancelled. Meanwhile, IPS Mamta, Rahul and Sharad Chaudhary were suspended on July 19. However, 22 RAS officers have been appointed as Assistant Programme Officer (APO) too.
This transfer of bureaucrats in Rajasthan comes just in a week’s time. At least eight major transfers have changed the administrative picture of the state. IAS Bhavani Singh Deatha whose transfer order had been cancelled on July 19, has again been appointed to the post of Divisional Commissioner of Udaipur. Detha has been Udaipur’s Divisional Commissioner since October 30, 2014.
The government has released three transfer list of IAS officers since July 19. In Ravi Jain’s name, everyone is in the list. Due to a dispute with Mayor Ashok Lahoti, Ravi Jain was removed from the post of Municipal Commissioner on July 19 and was sent to the post of Director of Agriculture Department. Just three days later, on July 22, the government again removed him and sent him as a Commissioner in School Education. Jain has now been removed from here and the information has been sent to the Public Relations Department.
