“Aisi garmi mein, woh bhi chunav ki garmi mein, aap sab itni tadaad me mujhe ashirwaad dene aaye, main bahut abhaari hoon. Jab Banswara aate hain toh Gujarat waasiyo ko lagta hai ki ghar aaye hain, itna pyar – aap jo pyar de rahe hain uss ko main sood samet lautaunga aur vikas karke lautaunga (I am grateful to you for coming out in such large numbers to bless me. Banswara feels like home for even Gujarat natives because of all the love we get here. He said the Congress has its priorities right. First, it thinks of naamdaar (Rahul Gandhi), followed by his family. Next, Congress is concerned about their coterie, then the vote bank. Finally, it is concerned about communalism and in the end, it thinks of the nation. Also Read - Rahul Gandhi Takes Dip Into Sea With Fishermen in Kerala | Watch Video, Photos Here
He cited the example of the tribal community and how the Congress had failed to do much for it. “The tribal community has existed for thousands of years. Did they not make sacrifices during the freedom struggle? Did they not contribute to the development of the nation? You know this, I know this, history knows this but the Congress doesn’t know this,” he said.
He pointed out how a separate ministry for the community was created only when Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister. “The tribal community used to demand a separate ministry, minister and budget. They used to demand development policies. But the Congress wasn’t concerned about them. It was only after Vajpayee Ji became the PM that a dedicated Ministry of Tribal Affairs was created,” PM Modi said.
Ridiculing Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi said, “Iss naamdar ko itna gyaan nahi hai ki NCC kya hoti hai. Iss naamdaar ko ye gyaan nahi hai ghoshnapatra kya hota hai. Iss naamdaar ko ye gyaan nahi hai ki main Kailash Mansarovar jaakar ke aaya lekin Kailash Mansarovar hota kya hai (This naamdaar doesn’t know what NCC is, he doesn’t know what party manifesto is. In fact, he went all the way to Kailash Mansarovar but he doesn’t know what that place signifies).”
Taking a swipe at the Congress President, PM Modi said, “Wo vaade karte hain, aapke yahan aake kaha mobile phone Made in Dungarpur…Congress ke naamdaar ne kaha tha. Rajasthan chunaav ka manifesto nikla. Kya usmein likha hai Congress sarkar banegi to Made in Dungarpur banega? Jiske naamdaar jaise neta ko Rajasthan ki Congress party serious nahi leti usko aapko serious lena chahiye kya? Unhone aisa bola aur unke party ke manifesto tak mein aisa nahi likha hai (When he came here, he talked about a time when mobile phones would be made in Dungarpur. Their manifesto came out but it doesn’t anywhere talk about bringing industry to the area. When his own party doesn’t take him seriously, how can you take him seriously? Because his own party did not include in the manifesto what the party president talked about).”
