Lok Sabha Elections 2019: The general elections 2019 will be held in two phases in Rajasthan. Voting in the 13 constituencies will be held in the first phase on April 29 while the remaining 12 constituencies will cast its vote on May 5. The counting of votes will be done on May 23.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated Subhash Baheria, who is the current member of Parliament from Bhilwara parliamentary constituency in Rajasthan. Baheria had won the LS polls for the first time in 1996 defeating Mahendra Singh Mewar of the Congress. He was elected again in the 2014 Lok Sabha election after being pitted against Congress leader Ashok Chandna.
However, it must be noted that Bhilwara constituency has not elected the same candidate thrice. For the record, the Congress has won nine times and the BJP four times in the 16 Lok Sabha elections held in Bhilwara.
The voting for the parliamentary polls 2019 on this seat will take place in the fourth phase on April 29. At present, it comprises 8 assembly seats – Keshoraipatan, Bundi, Pipalda, Sangod, Kota North, Kota South, Ladpura and Ramganj Mandi. The BJP has fielded Om Birla from Kota Lok Sabha Constituency while the Congress has fielded Ram Narain Meena from Kota.
The parliamentary constituency of Jhalawar-Baran is one of the 25 of the state of Rajasthan. 1,447,157 is the total electorate count in the Jhalawar Baran Lok Sabha Constituency. Out of these 7,55,388 number of electorates are males and the remaining 691,769 are belong to the female category.
BJP’s Dushyant Singh had won from this constituency in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. BJP has yet again nominated its sitting MP Dushyant Patel from this seat, while the Congress has declared Pramod Sharma as its candidate.
