Rajasthan: Man Beats Minor Son, Daughter Mercilessly in Rajsamand, Arrested After Video Goes Viral

If Singh's neighbours are to be believed, he was a habitual offender and would regularly beat his children.

Jaipur, Jan 31: A man was arrested after a video of him mercilessly beating his five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district for soiling their pants went viral. The incident came to light after the accused brother shot the video and posted it on social media.

In the one-minute video, 32-year-old Chain Singh was seen thrashing his daughter Puja and suspended his son Lalit nude with a rope. He was unstoppable even as the children cried inconsolably.

The President of Children Welfare Committee Bhawna Paliwal on Tuesday registered an FIR against the accused father after watching the video.

“A case was registered under relevant sections of the IPC and under sections of Juvenile Justice Act against Singh and he was arrested,” the investigating officer in the case and Assistant Sub-Inspector Mangi Lal said.
