New Delhi, Jul 11: In a shocking incident, a man was busy clicking selfies with three people who had met with a road accident in Barmer district of Rajasthan. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon. It came to light after the picture has gone viral. The unidentified man in picture received a lot of criticism on the social media platforms for not helping the victims.

The photographs shared by ANI showed an unidentified man is busy clicking selfie while three people lying on the road. In the picture, several other onlookers are also present at the accident spot but no one offered help to the victims. Reportedly, police said that had the onlookers helped the victims on time, they would have survived.

In February a similar incident was reported in Kerala. According to the incident, a poor tribal youth was beaten to death by a mob of local people on the charge of stealing food in Palakkad district. Local people took selfies with the youth and recorded videos with him before handing him over to the police. The incident was widely criticised by the people including political leaders.

According to reports, many incidents of people dying while taking selfie have been reported. In April this year, the Centre had asked the state governments to identify tourist spots where accidents occur frequently when people take selfies.
