New Delhi: Two people were injured as a portion of a footpath which was built over a drain collapsed on October 25 in Rajasthan’s Sirohi, stated news agency ANI.

A video of the incident which occurred on Friday was tweeted by news agency ANI. In the video, a man can be seen walking on the street and another man standing nearby when the footpath suddenly collapses in seconds.

This incident caused a stir in the Rajasthan city due to the poor maintenance of roads built on the drain. Notably, there was a complex located near the footpath. Seeing two people injured in the accidental collapse, several people rushed to the spot to rescue them.

Both the victims were immediately admitted to a hospital where the doctor provided basic first aid discharged the injured ones, stated a report. Besides, the entire incident was recorded in a CCTV camera installed in a nearby shop, added the report.

In yet another incident reported last month, a portion of a four-storey commercial building at Lokmanya Tilak Road in Mumbai collapsed.  Search and rescue operations were soon deployed after the accident. There were no immediate casualties reported.
