The voting for Alwar Lok Sabha Bye-Election 2018, Ajmer Lok Sabha Bye-Election 2018, Mandalgarh Assembly Bye-Election 2018, Uluberia Lok Sabha Bye-Election 2018 and Noapara Assembly Bye-Election 2018 was held on January 29.

On Monday, Ajmer and Alwar Lok Sabha constituencies saw a voter turnout of 65.2 and 61.86 per cent, respectively while the Mandalgarh Assembly seat registered 78.78 per cent polling. The seats are witnessing a tough contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.

Rajasthan & West Bengal Bye-Elections 2018 Results LIVE News Updates: Counting of Votes For Lok Sabha & Assembly Bypolls

Over 76 per cent voter turnout was recorded in West Bengal’s Uluberia Lok Sabha constituency and 75.3 per cent in the Noapara Assembly bypolls. The main contest is between the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In Rajasthan, the bypoll is being seen as a semi-final for the Assembly Elections and Lok Sabha Elections 2019 whereas, in West Bengal, the BJP is looking forward to gaining ground in the TMC bastion.
