“Very good Rajinikanth, the path you have chosen is a good one. It is not a path that one walks alone, but a royal path chosen by an entire race. Welcome, congratulations,” Kamal Haasan said. Also Read - Delhi Violence: US Embassy Issues Advisory, Urges Its Citizens to 'Exercise Caution'
Notably, both the leaders have differences over a number of contemporary issues, but this is the only common point where both of them agreed together that the Central government has drastically failed to contain the violence in the national capital.
Previously, Rajinikanth was in favour of the Central government’s schemes and various decisions including demonetization, GST, Article 370, and CAA, but Kamal Haasan has been a critic of the Central government on many issues including the CAA.
Earlier in the day, Rajinikanth slammed the Central government over the violence in Delhi that has left 25 people dead so far. He said that the riots should have been dealt with an iron fist.
“Definitely it is Central government’s intelligence failure. I strongly condemn the Central government,” he said.
Saying that the protests should not turn violent, Rajinikanth remembered his earlier statement that he will stand by Muslims if they were affected by the CAA.
