Rajsamand, Jan 16: The Rajasthan Police in its chargesheet of the Rajsamand hate crime case said that accused Shambhulal Regar had already made up his mind to murder labourer Mohammed Afrazul and had his weapons sharpened beforehand. The chargesheet said that he had bought a weapons a few months before committing the murder and gave it to a blacksmith for sharpening. He bought one more weapon and gave it to another blacksmith for sharpening.

The police have also mentioned that on Diwali last year, Regar had called up a woman, two months before murdering Afrazul, and told her that he might not come back. “…meri last Diwali hai, ab mai yaha par kabhi nahi ayunga, mera ek lakshya hai, wo pura karne ja raha hu. Shayad wapas zinda au ya nahi (This is my last Diwali, I will come back here again, I have just one aim, I am going to fulfill that. I may not come back alive),” he had told the woman. The police also said that he was in an illegitimate relationship with the woman he had called.
The chargesheet also mentioned that he also trained his 15-year-old nephew to make him tough. “Before this, Regar would rake the little boy to watch goats being slaughtered and to toughen his juvenile nephew’s heart, he would make him slaughter live chickens.” In fact, Regar even took the 15-year-old to the crime scene, multiple times, and trained him in videography.
On the day of the murder, Regar dropped his daughter at school, went back home to get his weapons, and called Afrazul on the pretext of some work. Calling him characterless in the chargesheet, the police said he had a relationship with a nurse as well, reports the Indian Express.
One of these two women had once eloped with a labourer named Ballu Sheikh, who too was from West Bengal just like Afrazul. The accused murdered Afrazul, who would migrant workers in finding work, to scare off Bengal workers so that they stop coming to Rajsamand. Regar allegedly hacked Afrazul to death and burnt his body on December 6 last year.
Raigar even uploaded the video of the shocking act on social media. “Jihadists, leave our country or you will meet the same fate,” he said in the video. He also asked the Hindu community people to stay away from Muslim community people.
