Patna/New Delhi, Oct 4: Noted lawyer and ex-Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ram Jethmalani attacked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi yet again by saying that he has cheated the people and must suffer defeat in Bihar elections. Jethmalani had also added that if given an opportunity, he will vote for Nitish Kumar in the upcoming elections, adding, he appealed to the people that people should punish Modi for not fulfilling his election promises. Speaking to the media, the infamous lawyer, often in news for taking controversial cases, said, “Modi has cheated the people, he must suffer a defeat. He must be punished.” His agony for Narendra Modi is widely known when in July he had written to the Modi, opposing the appointment of former Central Board of Direct Taxes chairman K V Chowdary as Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC). At that time, he also said that hew would fight against the government in the Supreme Court.
Writing a letter to the Prime Minister at that time, Jethmalani had said that his diminishing respect for him ends with the government’s decision. He had written, “Now we shall fight out in the Supreme Court and the court of the people of India. As election for the first phase is coming nearer in Bihar, new comments and allegations are flying in the air. The first phase phase of election will take place on October 12 of this month. All the parties, whether in government or opposition, are blaming each other and have started their rallies in different parts of the state.
