New Delhi: Referring to the Ram temple construction in Ayodhya, Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday said that Hindus are on the verge of losing their patience and anything can happen in the country.

“Hindus are losing patience. I am afraid that if they lose their patience, anything can happen in this country. Either government should bring in the law or the court should give the judgment (Ab Hinduon ka sabr tut raha hai. Mujhe bhay hai ki Hinduon ka sabr tuta toh kya hoga),” Singh said, while speaking to ANI today.

On the other hand, firebrand BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has accused Congress party of delaying the matter.

“I think we should take a review in December to see if Ram Temple matter is going to be quickly adjourned or again Congress lawyers will find some other interlocutory application to delay the matter. If it’s going to be delayed then we’ll have to take a call,” Swamy said.

A few days back Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader GVL Narasimha Rao had asked Congress to clarify whether it is in favour of construction of Ram Temple or not.

“Shashi Tharoor’s comment is insulting to the entire Hindu community. Crores of Hindu people want a grand Ram Temple to be built at Ayodhya and possibly Sashi Tharoor has talked to Rahul Gandhi’s friends in Italy and came to this conclusion. This certainly reeks of Congress’ anti-Ram Temple agenda,” Rao had said, adding,”Congress must clarify whether they are in favour of construction of Ram Temple or is Rahul Gandhi only faking to be a Shiv bhakt and a Ram bhakt. He is actually a vote bank bhakt and not a devout Hindu.”

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court adjourned till January 2019 the hearing in pleas challenging the Allahabad High Court’s 2010 verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute. A three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and KM Joseph was hearing the matter.
