Ranchi-bound Air Asia flight taken back to Kolkata after technical glitch, all passengers safe

Taking the safety of passengers in stock, the pilot along with crew decided to come back to the host airport.

Kolkata, May 17: Leading airlines Air Asia in a statement on Wednesday informed one of its flights saw a technical glitch after taking off from Netaji Subhash Chandra International Airport. The flight was bound for Ranchi, ANI reported. Taking the safety of passengers in stock, the pilot along with crew decided to come back to the host airport. Details about the flight no. and no. of passengers could not be accessed till the time of writing this report. It will be updated with necessary information soon.

Similar situation was witnessed in a flight bound for New Delhi from the Heathrow Airport of London. Oxygen masks were seen dropping one by one after the air pressure within the plane dropped below the normal standard. The plane was taken back to the airport to deal with the problem.In today’s case, the airlines’ regulator Director general of civil aviation is likely to seek the report after the incident.
