Rash driving case in Delhi: Man dies after being run over by speeding vehicle

Witnesses told police that as the man was lying injured on the road, two more vehicles ran over him, leading to his death before people could help him.

New Delhi, Jul 26: A 35-year-old man was crushed to death by a vehicle near Akshardham temple in east Delhi, police said today. The unidentified man was hit by a car at around 11.50 pm yesterday. The impact left him thrown on the road and the number plate also came off the vehicle. Witnesses told police that as the man was lying injured on the road, two more vehicles ran over him, leading to his death before people could help him. The vehicle that hit the man was found to be registered with a person in Jama Masjid area. Efforts are on to trace its owner for further action in the matter, said a police officer.
