Republic Day Parade Dress Rehearsal Today: Know Which Routes to be Avoided

New Delhi, January 23: A full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day parade will be held at Rajpath in the national capital on Tuesday. The parade rehearsal will begin from 9:50 AM from Vijay Chowk and will proceed to Red Fort due to which there will be traffic restriction for the smooth conduct of the parade.

The route of the parade: Vijay Chowk — Rajpath — India Gate — Tikal Marg — Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg — Netaji Subhash Marg — Red Fort.

Traffic Restriction:

No vehicle will be allowed on Rajpath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate from 6 PM on Monday till the parade is over. No cross traffic will be allowed on Rajpath from 11 PM on Monday at Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road till parade is over.

C-Hexagon-India Gate will be closed for traffic from 9 AM on Tuesday till parade crosses Tilak Marg. After 10 AM, traffic will not be allowed on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg on both directions. Cross traffic will only be allowed depending upon the movement of the parade.

East — West Corridor:

Metro services:

Metro rail services will remain available for commuters at all Metro stations. The boarding/de-boarding will not be permitted here:

Lok Kalyan Marg (Race Course), Patel Chowk — From 8:45 AM to 12 noon

Ten leaders of ASEAN countries will be chief guests at India’s 69th Republic Day celebrations. Even ASEAN-India tableau will also be part of the parade, sources said on Wednesday.
