The police had detained a local medical practitioner, who was called by the accused youth when the condition of the rape victim deteriorated on Wednesday (September 12) after she had been sexually assaulted.
Police officials said the medical practitioner gave the victim first aid after he was threatened by the accused. He did not inform the police even though he knew that the victim was sexually assaulted.
The victim, who has identified her attackers, and her parents had said earlier that the police were not taking action in the matter and were dealing with it casually.
A 19-year-old college student was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by a group of men in Haryana’s Mahendragarh district on Thursday. The woman in her complaint had said that all the men belong to her village. The incident was reported when she was on her way to attend her coaching classes. Three men allegedly kidnapped the girl, dragged her to a nearby field and gangraped her. The girl, in her complaint, had said that some men who were already present in the field also raped her. She was later found unconscious at a bus stop.
The girl had alleged that Pankaj and Manish drugged her and later took her near a well in a car where she recognised Nishu on gaining consciousness. However, the victim was again drugged and gangraped, the FIR further stated. The police, however, had said that a zero FIR has been filed and the Mahendergarh police are investigating the matter.
