Police personnels have been deployed inside the campus to bring the situation under control. BJP’s prominent state leader Roopa Ganguly arrived at the scene, along with volunteers of BJP, demanding the police to let her enter inside the campus and take stock of situation. She has accused the University authorities of framing 4 innocent people, who were not related to the molestation, as culprits. Roopa has demanded the Jadavpur police to release the detained individuals, taken into custody on charges of molestation, at the earliest.

Meanwhile University Registrar claimed that Vivek Agnihotri had no permission to screen his movie inside the campus. They have blamed his arbitrary style of entering the campus and attempting to screen the movie as the triggering point for the entire row. As per latest reports, 3 ABVP members have been admitted into hospital after being thrashed brutally inside the campus.
